Formations
An introduction to Formations, the new card type coming in The Hidden City expansion is online!

L5R CCG Errata
Effective March 1st.

Akodo Rokuro will receive the following errata:

Reaction: Once per turn, before one of your Lion Clan Personalities bows due to another player's card effect, bow Rokuro to negate the bowing.

Rokuro's statistics alone puts him on par with other Lion Personalities at his cost. On top of this, his ability offers free protection for his controller's entire army from one of the most harmful effects that can befall a unit in battle, and it combos extremely well with Kyuden Ikoma to provide a tough wall of denial for opponents to overcome. Requiring Rokuro to bow removes the free "bonus" nature of his protection without removing the protection completely.

Kyuden Ikoma will receive the following errata:

Reaction: Bow your Stronghold and one of your Lion Clan Personalities in the current battle to cancel another player's Battle action. If it's an Action card, its player may return it to his hand after the battle. The player may immediately take another action.

The earlier an attack happens, the fewer actions the Defender will have available to thwart it. Kyuden Ikoma speeds the pace of the game by encouraging early attacks, where the Defender is least likely to have an action to follow the canceled one. Requiring a Lion Personality to bow as well maintains the Stronghold's power in the later game while rendering it prohibitive to use early. It also discourages the common honor deck tactic of sending a lone defending unit.

L5R CCG Watch List
As part of the never-ending process of improving the L5R CCG tournaments as competitive events, AEG is announcing the creation of a formal Watch List of cards we feel may be unduly influencing the play environment.

------------------------

Diamond Errata
It's come to light that there are certain cards having more of an effect on the Diamond environment than we would like. To correct this imbalance as quickly and effectively as possible, we are issuing errata to bring them to a more desirable power level.

Effective immediately, the following errata are being issued for Diamond Edition cards.

Armor of Earth
Remove the cost reduction for having the Ring of Earth in play.

Gunsen of Water
Remove the cost reduction for having the Ring of Water in play. Add the restriction "If this unit has not been in any battle during its resolution this Attack Phase," to the beginning of the ability.

Mempo of the Void
Remove the cost reduction for having the Ring of the Void in play.

Koto
Add the "Unique" trait.
