Legend of the Five Rings Expansion Set
 With
the knowledge that the Emperor has left the capitol on a quest for
Enlightenment, the Empire is in turmoil. The Shogun moves to seize
power, though he claims it is merely to hold the throne for his brother.
Many are doubtful, and see this as the resurgence of Kaneka’s long
dormant ambition. The Empress stands against the Shogun, but his actions
have seriously weakened her influence in court.
The Scorpion Clan sees their allegiance to the Emperor as a sacred duty
to keep the throne empty in his absence. Bayushi Paneki will move his
forces if necessary to keep the Shogun from taking the throne out from
under his absent brother. The Unicorn Clan’s Khan cares nothing for who
is in charge, as he only sees either as little more than an obstacle in
his rise to power.

Open war has begun between the Crane Clan and the Dragon Clan. The
Dragon, having found evidence of significant dishonor among one of
the Crane’s families, has declared war against them. The Dragon war
to actually save the face of the Crane, for if the harriers were
known to the Empire as a whole, the results would be disastrous.

 Drums of
War L5R Expansion Set
 War once again descends upon the Empire of Rokugan. The Dragon Clan, denied their destiny of Enlightenment, march
against the Crane Clan who they view as nothing more than charlatans. The Lion answer their Crane allies call and
ride to their aid, eager to avenge their lost glory after suffering defeat at the hands of the Unicorn.
While the Phoenix and the Mantis still war, the Unicorn ride high on the thrill of victory. Their Khan as brought them
victory over the Lion, and a young shugenja captured the Topaz Championship. High on power, the Khan now eyes more of
the Empire.
Drums of War is the next exciting expansion in the Age of Enlightenment story arc. In Legend of the Five Rings the

 This is
the first expansion to be released after the Lotus Base Set and develops the themes introduced in Lotus
Edition. This is also the first expansion to explore the ramifications of the 'Fate of the Five Rings'
storyline tournament at the 2005 World Championships. How will Rokugan come to terms with those who have
become Enlightened? What would you do to attain Enlightenment?
This turmoil in the courts and on the battlefields of Rokugan forces to the surface old rivalries and new

 Code of Bushido finds Iuchiban defeated by the Wolf, Sezaru. The Bloodspeakers are no more, their few surviving number
fleeing to the banner of Daigotsu. The Bloodspeakers do not go quietly however with one final attack dealing a blow
from which the Empire may never recover: the murder of Rosoku, last descendant of Shinsei.

reclaimed his City of the Lost and plans to launch his own attack on the Bloodspeaker.

Otosan Uchi, the Bloodspeaker Iuchiban's plans continue to unfold.
