Lord Satsu-sama has just given me dire news to spread to the empire. Scouts in the Imperial Legionnaires have witnessed waves of dark riders being sent forth from the heart of the Shadowlands to all ends of the empire. According to the report, the dark riders were all evil clones of the same man who goes by the name of Daigotsu Chaozhu. It would appear one of these riders was sent to the private homes of many of Rokugan’s Samurai during this past week, so he should be arriving shortly.
If Daigotsu Chaozhu shows up at your home, please proceed with caution and beware of his evil ways. Kami help us.

Here at AEG, we are constantly striving to improve the quality of L5R product that we bring to you. As part of this ongoing improvement, we felt this would be a good time to give you an update on AEG’s plan to make a printer change. As you all know we have had some collation, scheduling and other print issues throughout the last year. Printing L5R is tough at times, and our printer partners do more than just print the game, they help us get it shipped and deal with getting it collated.
The Gen Con Event Kit is now available for pre-order here at the Alderac store. For the first time to celebrate the big event we are selling an amazing L5R polo shirt with the 15th Anniversary Logo on the front and the L5R Logo on the back. As a bonus, if you pre-order your shirt in the next two weeks we will be able to embroider your clan logo on the sleeve.
L5R Players,
the Ronin Challenge has been met. Starting July 1st, the Ronin Stronghold – Palace of the Breaking Dawn – is legal for the remainder of the Celestial Arc.
The actual card will be printed with a later expansion, and in the meantime, you are allowed to play the print up version during any L5R event.
Playing this stronghold in a MegaGame event (both Honor and Glory) will automatically give all the points earned by its player to the Empire.
The Ronin have a home for Celestial Edition. And the Destroyers will learn to fear them.

as you surely know, Lady Domotai has been tasked by the Divine Empress Iweko I to organize various activities throughout the first year of her glorious reign. The Kakita Artisan Academy is proud to announce that the necessary steps are being taken care of so that those various contests of skill are being run properly and in the spirit of the Empress’ wishes. I submit those scrolls to you so that you can take notice on the advancement of the events themselves. Results will be swiftly submitted to you by way of your Heralds as the events conclude.

For anyone unfamiliar, the 4th of July is the day the USA celebrates our independence. It is a time for celebration for all US citizens.
And this 4th we have a special treat for you. the IG 3 preview page has been updated with a downloadable PDF. Download it, print, and test it out because IG 3 WILL be legal for Gen Con (August 3rd to be precise). We are rushing some copies off the printer early to make this happen for you. You will be able to pick up your copy early at Gen Con for play at the tournaments there. For those not attending Gen Con, you will be able to pick it up at your local game store later this summer.
